Piles aren’t a life-threatening malady, but are surely annoying. The condition interferes with your daily lifestyle and can complicate your way of living. The best way to manage and treat piles is eating a healthy and ideal diet.

Here’s what you should eat when you are suffering from piles.

1. Brown rice

If you have a habit of eating rice for at least one of your meals, then make sure that you replace white rice with brown rice. Brown rice is made from whole grains and is rich in fibre. Fibre promotes healthy bowel movements thus lowering the effects of piles.

2. Leafy vegetables and fruits

When you are suffering from piles/haemorrhoids, you should always consider eating fresh veggies and fruits. Leafy vegetables such as broccoli, lettuce, kale, and spinach are easy to digest and contain all the essential nutrients. Leafy vegetables also cleanse the intestinal tract
Similarly, colourful fruits such as orange, apple, strawberries, and papaya are helpful in preventing constipation.

Oats make up for a perfect breakfast if you suffer from piles as they’re rich in soluble fibre. Barley has a high fibre content which is beneficial for softening the stool.
